Who I Support
After 5+ years of working with clients aged 1-18+ and supervising Master’s students, I began seeing my
own private clients. I also currently help diagnose autism and other conditions with a multidisciplinary
team at Scarborough Health Network.
My practice is client- and family-centred, evidence-informed, and neurodiversity-affirming. In other
words, I value client input and collaboration, incorporate research evidence, and recognize clients’
individual abilities and perspectives.
I take pride in uncovering strengths, areas of improvement, and factors impacting communication that
might not be obvious, by getting to the core of clients’ concerns. From conveying basic needs to
expressing complex thoughts and ideas - I help clients become confident communicators at school, work,
and home.
About Me (She/Her)
Do OHIP and work insurance cover services?
OHIP does not though private health insurance through work usually does, i.e. extended healthcare benefits.
Please check with your insurance provider. See below for more funding options.
Do I need a doctor’s referral?
No, you can self-refer too.
What are your credentials?
I am a registered Speech Language Pathologist with the College of Audiologists and Speech Language Pathologists of Ontario (CASLPO). I am also a member of Speech-Language and Audiology Canada (SAC). I obtained my BS in Psychology from Queen’s University and MSc in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Alberta.
What are the next steps?
1+ assessment sessions cover intake and interview questions, informal observation and evaluation tasks, and standardized testing.
Treatment sessions involve tailored communication goals, engaging activities, and client/parent education. I determine additional referrals as necessary, e.g., hearing test, ENT, developmental assessment.
How long will treatment take?
This is highly dependent on your individual concerns, motivation and attention, adherence to home practice, etc.
Any strategies and resources?
Please see below. Or ask me directly. :)
